Job Duties

• Develop and continue to maintain relationships with multiple referral sources such as consumers, realtors, and financial planners.
• Maintain working knowledge of an array of product lines to include conforming, non-conforming, and 100% financing loans.
• Learn Federal, State and Company policies, underwriting guidelines, and loan processes.
• Accept applications from new borrowers.
• Make outside sales calls and presentations to external organizations, and attend business functions and/or community events for networking.
• Ensure applications consistently meet fundamental underwriting standards.
• Maintain knowledge of real estate loan programs to sufficiently explain products in detail to borrowers, realtors, and other interested parties.
• Maintain current knowledge pertaining to underwriting and risk issues as policy changes.
• Work with management and potential borrowers to complete applications and provide status of loans.
• Maintain knowledge of pricing and demand procedures.
• Understand content and intent of applicable fair lending and disclosure regulations, performing in accordance with Federal, State and Company regulations.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma, or equivalent required; College degree preferred.
• Mortgage sales with extensive outside sales experience is preferred.
• 2 years in direct sales or 1 year as a Mortgage Consultant or equivalent experience in real estate sales, appraisal, or underwriting.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of loan products and real estate values within the area.
• Possess self initiative, creativity, and a desire for success.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to create and execute an innovative, detailed business/marketing plan.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications.
